How to Remove Content Credentials from Adobe Firefly Images
Adobe Firefly exports often include Content Credentials. Strip Firefly AI metadata locally before you share to social apps or send client comps.
Why Firefly files carry credentials
Firefly is built around Adobe’s Content Credentials pipeline. Downloads and exports can embed C2PA-style provenance so other apps can see generative involvement.
If you upload that file unchanged, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and similar products may surface an AI label or credentials badge from the file metadata.
Remove Firefly metadata before sharing
Export or download a PNG, JPEG, or WebP, then strip removable credentials locally.
- Save the Firefly output in a supported format.
- Process it with Unmade AI (browser-only, no upload to our servers).
- Share the cleaned copy instead of the original download. Generative Fill in Photoshop follows a similar path: Generative Fill Made with AI.
When to keep credentials
If you need transparent disclosure for a brand, newsroom, or compliance workflow, leave Content Credentials intact. Use Unmade AI when you want a clean deliverable from files you control.
