Why Photoshop Generative Fill Adds “Made with AI”
Even a small Generative Fill edit can embed Content Credentials that Instagram and other apps read as AI. Learn why it happens and how to clean the export.
A tiny Fill can still tag the whole file
Photoshop Generative Fill and related Firefly-powered features often write Adobe Content Credentials / C2PA into the exported file. Platforms that auto-label AI content may treat that as enough signal for Made with AI or AI Info, even when most of the photo is a real capture.
That surprises photographers who only removed a distracting object or expanded a canvas edge.
Keep the PSD, clean the share file
Leave your master document as-is for editing history. For posting, export a web format and strip removable metadata from that copy.
- Export PNG, JPEG, or WebP from Photoshop.
- Run the export through Unmade AI in your browser.
- Upload the cleaned file to Instagram, LinkedIn, X, or client portals.
