Videos carry provenance too
C2PA Content Credentials are not only for stills. MP4 and MOV files can embed signed provenance boxes (often as uuid / JUMBF payloads) plus classic container tags such as udta and meta. TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and Meta apps may read those signals at upload and apply an AI-generated or AI info style label.
That is separate from watermarks baked into the picture. Unmade AI targets removable file metadata only, the same privacy model as image cleaning.
What gets stripped
For MP4/MOV, the local cleaner rewrites the container without re-encoding audio or video streams:
- C2PA / Content Credentials uuid boxes (and related JUMBF signals)
- XMP uuid payloads when present
- udta and meta boxes (titles, GPS-style location atoms, software tags)

Honest limits
Metadata cleaning does not remove visible or invisible watermarks in the frames, and platforms may still label content using classifiers or self-disclosure rules. Max size for video in the browser tool is 256 MB. Use only on files you are allowed to modify and share.
